What's new in TeamDock.

We're always improving TeamDock for coaches and families. Here's a look at recent updates.

July 2026

Members

  • Delegate the setup. A head coach can now give any staff member full admin access from their page under Members, so a team manager or assistant coach can handle Settings, Customize Your Dock, billing and members — while keeping their own title. It also covers the case where a manager creates the team first and hands the Head Coach title over later. TeamDock always keeps at least one admin, so a team can't lock itself out.
  • Your team join code now sits at the top of the Members page with a copy link, so it's always at hand when a parent asks to join.

Attendance

  • New Attendance tracking for games and practices (turn it on in Customize Your Dock). Everyone is counted as going by default, so nobody has to tap 'yes' every time, and families just flag Maybe or Not going with a quick reason for the coach. Coaches get a clean roster with going / maybe / out counts per event. Prefer active RSVPs? Switch to ask-everyone mode, where each family responds and TeamDock can automatically remind anyone who hasn't.

Schedule

  • A refreshed schedule: a colour-coded month calendar is now the default view, with event-type filters and an upcoming panel down the side, plus a cleaner agenda list with day markers and Today / Tomorrow labels. Games, practices, tournaments and team events each get their own colour.
  • New month-calendar view for the schedule. Toggle between the list and a proper calendar grid at the top of the Schedule page; tap any day to see its events. Handy once the season fills up.
  • Sync the team schedule to your phone: tap Subscribe on the Schedule page to add it to Apple, Google or Outlook calendars. New and changed events update automatically, no re-adding.
  • Adding an event is quicker: the end time fills in automatically (an hour after the start) and keeps your duration if you move the start.

Film Room

  • Build a highlight reel in one click. Tag any clip as Goal, Big Save, Big Block or Effort (clips can now carry a few tags at once), then hit Watch Highlights to play every whole-team highlight back to back, with branded open and close cards. No video editing, no uploads.
  • Two viewing upgrades: a Theatre view that enlarges the player for easier review, and a +30s button to jump ahead and find the next play without dragging the scrubber.
  • Coaches can now edit or delete clip notes, and the new −15s/−30s buttons rewind the video and set the timestamp together, so you can tag a play right after it happens.

News

  • The News section got a visual refresh on both your app and your public team page: a featured lead story up top, category tabs and search to filter as posts build up, and image-forward cards that fall back to your team logo when a post has no picture.

Photos

  • Families can now share the moment: players and parents can start their own team-only galleries and add photos or short video clips (up to 50 MB, about 30 seconds) — perfect for that goal you caught on your phone. Staff still choose what appears on your public page.
  • New setting: let players and parents add photos to your galleries. They can remove their own, staff can remove any, and it's off unless you turn it on. Big uploads are smoother too: photos are compressed on your device and large batches upload reliably.

Team Chat

  • Team messaging is here. Every team gets Team, Coaches and Parents channels automatically, and coaches or parents can start topic chats (a tournament, a carpool) with exactly the right people. Real-time, with mute controls and safe defaults: no private adult-to-player messages unless the head coach turns them on.

Sign in

  • Sign up and sign in with Facebook. Choose 'Continue with Facebook' on the login or sign-up screen, alongside email and Google.

Public team page

  • A big upgrade to your public team page: a premium branded hero in your team colours, quick-info cards, a full fundraising section (run up to three campaigns with goals, progress and share buttons), news cards, a photo strip, a share panel with a QR code, and a polished footer. Everything reflows to what your team has enabled.
  • Your public team page got a refresh: a bolder header with your logo, division and season, and a 'Next up' card that shows your next game or practice front and centre (when your schedule is public).

Fundraising

  • Run multiple fundraising campaigns at once (up to three public), each with its own link, button label, optional image, goal and progress. Mark one as featured to headline your public support section.

Files & Documents

  • Organize files by category (Practice Plans, Forms & Waivers, Budget & Finance, Tournament Info) and filter to see one at a glance. New uploads now default to coaches-and-managers-only; switch to whole-team for family-facing docs.
  • New Files area: staff upload documents and share them team-wide or keep them internal to coaches and managers. Toggle it on or off in Customize Your Dock.

Team Newsletter

  • The team newsletter got a full redesign: your logo and colours in the header, a summary of the edition, news previews, calendar-style event listings with New badges, and clearer poll callouts. News posts now choose email now, include in the newsletter, or app-only.
  • Two new controls: pick the time of day your scheduled newsletter goes out (e.g. Sunday 8 AM before Monday practice), and remove individual items from the next edition right in the preview. The Newsletter page also shows your next scheduled send date and time.

Team settings

  • Set your team's timezone in Settings. Event times on your schedule, and when your newsletter sends, now follow your team's zone instead of always Eastern.

Customize Your Dock

  • New Customize Your Dock in Team Settings: switch features like Player Feedback, Goals, Photos, Polls and Fundraising on or off, so your dock shows only what your team actually uses. Your data is kept if you switch one back on.

Stat tracking

  • New optional Stat Tracking: record game stats right from the Film Room, tapping through your roster as you watch, and see season totals in a sortable Team Stats table. Choose whether stats stay coaches-only or are shared with the whole team. Hockey to start, with more sports to come.

Team Newsletter & staff alerts

  • New Team Newsletter: a roundup of your team's news, polls, film, photos, schedule and sponsors, sent on a schedule you choose or any time with one click.
  • Staff now get an email, an in-app alert, and a push notification the moment someone asks to join the team.
  • Choose exactly which team events notify your staff, right in Team Settings.
  • The team is notified when you publish a new poll, so more people vote.

Faster team setup & joining

  • Per-player invite links that add a player or parent to your roster instantly, with no approval step.
  • Share one join code or link for everyone, with new requests waiting for your approval.
  • A “find my team” search so members can request to join even without a code.
  • Bulk roster import: add your whole roster from a list in one step.
  • Sign up and sign in with Google or Microsoft.

A more organized app, and new guides

  • Team Settings is now organized into clear tabs instead of one long page.
  • Roster refinements: goalies show “catches,” and a general Forward (F) position was added.
  • New Help Centre how-to guides and Coach Articles on film, feedback, and running an organized season.
  • A clearer pricing page: the same features on the Annual Team Plan and Monthly Flex.

Film, feedback & your public page

  • Film Room: link YouTube or Vimeo clips and add timestamped notes for players or team concepts.
  • Player development: private feedback and goals, visible to the player and their parent.
  • Installable app with notifications when a coach posts feedback or tags a clip.
  • A branded public team page with news, photos, sponsors and an optional roster or schedule.
