TeamDock works with any camera or app that can stream to YouTube: an AI sports camera like xBotGo, a phone on a tripod, or a full broadcast setup. You stream to your own channel; TeamDock handles everything around it.
One-time setup
- 1Create (or use) a YouTube channel for your team and enable live streaming on it. YouTube takes about 24 hours to activate streaming the first time, so do this before game day.
- 2In TeamDock, open Settings, then Integrations, and paste your channel handle or link under Live streaming.
- 3Decide whether streams should also appear on your public team page: Settings, Public page, then Show live streams publicly. It is off by default.
On game day
- 1Start streaming to your channel from your camera or app. We recommend setting the stream to Unlisted on YouTube, so only your team (and your public page, if enabled) can find it.
- 2Within a few minutes TeamDock spots the broadcast: a LIVE banner appears on the team dashboard and every member gets a notification.
- 3If you enabled the public option, the stream also plays on your public team page, so family and friends without TeamDock accounts can watch.
- 4When you stop streaming, the banner clears and the video is already in your Film Room as game film, ready for timestamped coach notes.
Good to know
- Streams set to Private on YouTube can only be watched from your channel; use Unlisted or Public.
- Hide a specific stream from the public page by marking that video Staff only in the Film Room.
- No channel connected? You can still flag any video as a live stream by hand when adding it to the Film Room.
