Inviting your team

Inviting players, parents, and staff

Three ways to get your group into TeamDock, with you in control of who joins.

There is more than one way to bring people in. Pick whatever fits your team.

Invite by email

Send an invitation to a specific email with the role you choose. The person gets a link, sets a password, and they are in. This is the most direct option when you already have everyone's email.

Share a join code or link

Prefer to post one link in your existing group chat? Share your team join code or join link. People who use it land in a Pending list for you to approve, so you stay in control of who gets in.

Send a personal player link

For a specific player, send their unique join link. When they open it and confirm whether they are the player or a parent, they join that roster spot right away, with no approval step needed.

Staff, players, and parents

Staff are your coaches and managers. Players and parents get a family-friendly view of just what is meant for them. You can set who is who as people join, or later from the Members area.

Whenever someone requests to join, you get an email and an in-app notification, so nothing slips through.

Sharing admin access

You don't have to do the setup yourself. Open a staff member's page under Members and turn on Full admin access to give a team manager or assistant coach the same rights as you: Settings, Customize Your Dock, billing and member management. Their title stays whatever it is, so a manager is still shown as Manager.

This also handles a common start: if a manager creates the team first, they can invite the head coach, switch them to the Head Coach tier, and then step back. TeamDock always keeps at least one admin, so you can't accidentally lock the team out of its own settings.
